German WWII Early Beer Stein-This is an early beer stein that has a graphic of two German soldiers holding the party flag, marching up a hill. Around them in the script, translated to “Raise the flag high, the ranks tightly closed”. The stein itself is made of white glazed stoneware with a curved ceramic handle with a domed pewter lid with a pewter thumb-lift. The top is marked with an early silver eagle, and the script “Deutche Erwacht” in fractur script. The stein stands 5 ½ inches (13.97 cm) tall, with the thumb-lift raising ½ inch (1.27cm) above the lid. Overall, this is in very good condition, and a great piece of early history.
