You know this logo. It was on a paper bag. You carried your singles home in it. Yazoo. The Human League. Madness. Tucked carefully under your arm so the corners didn't bend, because you were eleven years old and that seven inch was the most important object in the world. The WHSmith bag was a rite of passage. Every Saturday. Every pocket money day. Every time a new single dropped and you absolutely had to have it before anyone else at school. We've improved it, and slapped it on a mug. Same iconic geometric logo. Same orange and brown colourway that hits you somewhere deep in 1981. Same chunky typography that meant culture, high street, Saturday morning. Just with considerably more profanity. Because you carried those singles home with such hope and optimism. And then life happened. And here we are.
