Antique French Quilt Pale Pink

This antique French quilt has a pretty pink print on one side and an equally pretty blue print on the other side. This country style French quilt or 'piqué' dates from the mid 19th century, and is in very good condition with some wear on the centre of the pink side (see the last two photos) and a few marks on the blue side. The quilt measures 1.3m x 1.40m long (51 inches x 55 inches) The quilting is entirely hand stitched. Use on a small bed, folded on the back of a sofa or use as a wall hanging perhaps behind a bed.
