Intro to Beading (Ages 7-12) Gallery

Thursdays, 4:30pm-5:30pm September 3rd-October 1st ~ 5 week class Ages 7-12 $150/child Instructor: Jenny Valadez Fraire Description Young artists will explore the intricate art of beading through this after-school course. Students will learn various beading techniques and create multiple beaded projects spanning from beaded jewelry to hangable art throughout the span of 5 weeks. They will experiment with colors, patterns and how to hone their patience as they create. This class supports kids to explore their creativity and practice their fine motor skills. Students will be guided by local artist and beader Jenny Valadez Fraire whose family lineage stems from Zaccatecas, Mexico. Jenny has been beading for nearly a decade and was passed down this ancestral art form by her mother. Through her teaching practice she views patience as the central lesson and teaching that beading provides. She has experience teaching kiddos as young as 2 years old and is excited to support young artists to explore a new art medium! All materials provided. No experience necessary!
