Hand-Building Pottery camp! Discover the joy of hand-building with clay! In this camp, participants will create unique ceramic pieces using a variety of traditional techniques. Week 1 – Hand-Building Activity • Learn the coil and pinch pot techniques to create your own handmade pottery. • Work with a pre-rolled slab of clay to design and impress beautiful textures and patterns before shaping it over a mold. • This fun, creative process allows everyone to make a one-of-a-kind ceramic piece. What Happens Next? After your Week 1 session, we will: • Dry your piece • Bisque fire it Week 2 – Glazing Activity Bring your pottery to life with color! • Learn three different glazing techniques. • Use pencils to sketch your design before decorating with colorful ceramic glazes and ceramic pigments. • We’ll professionally glaze and fire your piece, then notify you when your masterpiece is ready for pickup. All pottery created during the workshop is food-safe, microwave-safe, and dishwasher-safe.
