Eagle Chiefs Grease Spoon

This Eagle Chiefs Grease Spoon was hand-carved by Tsimshian artist Terry Starr in 2002. The spoon has been carved from birch wood while the stand was carved from alder. Both feature an intricate design painted in acrylic. It was acquired from a collection and shows minor signs of wear. When resting on the stand, the spoon and stand together measure approximately 12 inches or 30 1/2 centimeters high, 3 1/4 inches or 8 centimeters wide, and 8 7/8 inches or 22 1/2 centimeters deep.
