The beautifully proportioned 35 mm stainless steel case remains wonderfully versatile by modern standards. Simple lines and a slim bezel keep the focus firmly on the dial, while the original hands and crown complete its honest period appearance. Inside beats the legendary IWC Cal. 89, introduced in the mid-1940s and regarded as one of the manufacture’s great manually wound movements. Known for its robust architecture, precision, and reliability, the Cal. 89 became an important foundation of IWC’s post-war reputation and remained in production for decades.
