Mounted Sauropod Caudal Vertebrae
Two sauropod caudal vertebrae from the Late Jurassic Morrison Formation, together on a custom steel mount. The larger measures 10 inches, while a smaller 5.5-inch vertebra is positioned above it; their contrasting scale and complex spinal anatomy give the composition a compact, architectural presence. Recovered from Skull Creek Quarry, Moffat County, Colorado, dating to approximately 150 million years ago.
