Finishing Techniques Workshop - Wednesday 23rd September 2026 Take your painted furniture to the next level Tired of painted furniture looking flat or boring? Join this workshop to learn how to easily add depth, charm, and unique character to your pieces. This relaxed, hands-on afternoon is all about those finishing touches that bring real character and depth to your work. The kind of techniques that make a piece feel more considered, more individual, and far less “just painted”. You’ll practise on boards so you can focus fully on the finishes, and leave with a set of samples to refer back to when working on your own pieces at home. During the session, you’ll explore: Blended Ombré Colour – creating soft, subtle transitions between colours Frottage Technique – a beautifully simple way to achieve a timeworn, aged look Gold Leaf Application – adding and ageing gold leaf for a gently worn, decorative finish This is a small group (maximum 6), so there’s plenty of time for one-to-one guidance, questions, and building your confidence. Whether you’ve attended one of my Essentials workshops or have already tried painting at home, this is a lovely next step.
