This ancient practice, rooted in tradition, includes the worship of serpent deities (Nagaradhana), which is widely mentioned in various Puranas. It is believed to help alleviate issues such as ill health, marital problems, fertility concerns, skin-related ailments, repeated delays in life, and difficulties faced by couples trying to conceive. In Hindu astrology, Ashlesha is one of the 27 constellations and signifies something inseparable or closely bound. Although Ashlesha Bali is typically performed on the day of the Ashlesha Nakshatra each month, it is also considered especially auspicious during the Hindu months of Shravan, Kartik, and Margashirsha.
