Fender Lead I Maple Fingerboard 1981 - Red
Here we have a vintage Fender Lead I electric guitar! This one sports a wine red transparent finish and is in good condition overall. Specs include an alder body, maple neck, 3-ply black guard, sealed “F” tuners, and a hardtail bridge. It has a single hot humbucker at the bridge position, as well as a 3-way coil selector switch and a 2-way series/parallel switch. It has a 1 9/16” nut width and a 25.5” scale length. The guitar shows plenty of player wear and topical scratches. The finish around the edge of the body is checking heavily. The neck is good shape as are the frets. The saddles have been changed. It weighs 7lbs 3oz. The neck measures .870 to .900 at the 1st and 12th frets. It has a medium C neck carve that is consistent in depth up to the neck joint. These are some really fun guitars to play and have some unique switching options offering cool tones. Overall this one plays nicely and we think it has a great vibe. Ships in a padded gig bag.
