Pearson Omega 6 Standard - year 2026
Check this out....My vintage guitar head is about to explode....A Pearson Omega from Pearson Instruments in New Zealand. Pearson Instruments was founded by industrial designer Dom Pearson in late 2023. He is the lead product designer and oversees all New Zealand based manufacturing and production. Dom says regarding the new Omega series - the goal was to create a model to compete in the headless market for under $1000 USD with a more ergonomic and less gimmicky design than the Hyper B. I wanted to move away from the “tuners behind bridge” style the Hyper B used, and to instead utilized traditional headless hardware. There were many prototypes, but after deciding the Salen body style was my favorite, prototyping became a matter of finding the optimal structural design for strength to weight and production simplicity. All aluminum and acrylic parts are machined and built here in New Zealand. The necks are custom built from reputable Chinese guitar manufactures. The hardware is also source from various overseas suppliers. Though we use Korean made Alpha pots, most of the hardware is Chinese manufactured . Once the required parts arrive, the guitars are fully assembled and setup here in New Zealand. Once the necks arrive here in New Zealand, they undergo further work to ensure every neck is perfectly leveled, polished and setup.
