Experimental Basketry Workshop with Emily Ridings

Date: Saturday, October 24th, 2026 Time: 1 pm - 4 pm Location: Patina Meadow (3811 Robinson Road, Thompsons Station, TN, 37179) Join artist and basketmaker Emily Ridings for an experimental basketry workshop exploring the possibilities of form, function, and weaving. You’ll learn basic basketry techniques and use them as a starting point for developing shape and structure. Rather than following a set pattern, you’ll be encouraged to let the material guide you in creating a piece entirely your own. Your finished piece can be functional, sculptural, or somewhere in between. No previous basketry experience is necessary, just a willingness to create! Tickets are transferrable, but non-refundable
