Rare Civil War Era Navy Sailor’s Working Pocket Knife with Japanese Markings
Rare Civil War Era Navy Sailor’s Working Pocket Knife with Japanese Markings A rare Civil War-era naval folding knife with a broad blade bearing Japanese markings. It retains its original handle scales, brass bolster, and folding construction, with a lanyard loop at the end of the handle. These knives allowed the deck hand to cut and splice line, whittle and perform a variety of other shipboard tasks, but did not afford him the opportunity to use it as a weapon against his shipmates in the confined and often rowdy quarters of the ship. Measures 8 ¼” overall. Inventory Number: EDG 078 Add to WishlistAlready In Wishlist Add to Wishlist
