You the Man! | Original Painting

"You the Man" was painted on two separate surfaces- the first layer on panel, and the second on a suspended layer of plexiglass. This lends a parallax effect to the piece which can only be fully appreciated in person. The inspiration for this piece came from an interaction with renowned artist Hank Willis Thomas after his visit to UMFA in January of 2026. Enzo texted "You the Man!" and Hank responded with "I am. Amen."
