Kenya Thuita
This coffee is grown by smallholder farms in Tharaka Nithi County, on the eastern slopes of Mount Kenya. The farmers bring their cherries to the Kathinthiuku Factory, where the lot is processed. The trees are SL28, Ruiru 11 and Batian, grown at 1,500 to 1,700 metres. The cherries are handpicked and sorted, then pulped, fermented, washed and dried in the sun on raised beds.Golden raisin comes first, then apricot, with a bright passionfruit finish. We roast it for filter.
