2023 Pinot Noir Tugalong Road Named for the road it’s grown on. The 2023 Pinot Noir Tugalong Road is a single-vineyard, cool-climate Pinot Noir from PepperGreen Estate in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales. Grown along Tugalong Road, the fruit benefits from cool nights and a long, slow ripening season, giving a wine of finesse rather than force. Tasting notes Appearance: Translucent rhodolite garnet Nose: Strawberry, layered with earth, spice and vanilla Palate: Morello cherry and red fruits, with vanilla, spice and a savoury earthiness following through Texture: Silky mouthfeel with a fine, soft tannin finish Body: Light to medium bodied, elegant and savoury Food pairing Duck and salmon are the natural partners. In the PepperGreen Estate Tasting Room, our chef pairs it with crisp duck confit, five-spice with master stock on the dinner menu, or with roast kipfler potatoes and blood orange jus at lunch.
