At 3x7 this delightful hand-woven runner is of a rare size that is difficult to find. This hand-woven Indian runner had been made in the style of a Persian Bidjar. A field consists of a dark indigo and deep brown tone, adorned with an all-over herati arabesque pattern consisting of intricate floral motifs, palmettes, and scrolling vinery. A prominent geometric flower medallion accents the middle. The inner field is enclosed by multiple guard borders leading to a wide, main samovar-style border rendered in a vibrant rust-red or terracotta background, filled with contrasting light blue, green, and cream floral cartouches.
