Vintage Natural Teal Sapphire with Diamond Trilogy, 9ct Yellow Gold, size L1/2 or 6, 1.3g

We love finding little treasures of the past like this beauty. Made at least 50 years ago - thanks to those trusty hallmarks (“9ct” was stopped in favour of “375” in 1973). Featuring a gorgeous little natural teal sapphire and two natural diamonds - a testament to the past present and future that trilogies symbolise. The 1960s and 1970s were the heyday of the Australian gemfields. Advertised widely they became places people not only holidayed, but returned (or even moved to) as the fever of finding amazing natural stones took hold. We imagine that this trilogy was made with a meaningful stone dug out the gemfields by hand. The stone is green and teal and a great contrast to the gold and diamonds. The way the silk and inclusions catch the light are almost like cobwebs glistening with dew. The claw set trilogy is delicate but solidly made, a gentle sweeping asymmetric curve in its design. Centre stone is natural and included - see photos. Care - As a general rule - jewellery should not be worn for strenuous tasks that may put pressure, chemicals and weight on them (think cleaning, gym, swimming/spa, carrying things). Jewellery should be inspected checked every six months by a jeweller to check for wear. Please be aware that this item is pre-loved and therefore is NOT new. Stones may have tiny marks, chips or flea bites, metal will have marks of wear like surface scratches; but any bigger flaws will be clearly highlighted above.
