The St. Tropez Square is the bigger-flame Patioflame table: a 60,000 BTU stainless steel burner in a rust-resistant aluminum body with a rustic bronze finish, 49 x 48 in across the top and 23 in high. The propane cylinder hides in the base behind an access door, and topaz CRYSTALINE glass and a burner lid come in the box. Certified to ANSI Z21.97 / CSA 2.41 as an outdoor decorative gas appliance. At 60,000 BTU against the Hamptons' 40,000, the St. Tropez throws noticeably more warmth to the people around it, and it is the one to choose for cooler evenings or a larger group. It sits a little lower, 23 in against 25 in, which still works with standard patio seating. The finish is the other decision: rustic bronze here, grey on the Hamptons. Clearances 24 in to combustibles on every side, 72 in overhead, 9 in at the floor. The 72 in overhead rules out most covered patios and pergolas. Approved for wooden decks, patios and concrete. Vent free, no flue. Fuel It ships for propane with the natural gas orifice supplied in the box, so there is no separate natural gas part number. Have a qualified gas technician make the swap and connect the line. Max inlet is 7.0 in w.c. on natural gas and 11.0 in w.c. on propane. Propane cylinder ventilation If the cylinder lives under the table, the openings size off the cylinder: 1 sq in per pound up top, 1/2 sq in per pound down low, and a minimum 2 in between the enclosure base and grade. A 20 lb cylinder needs 20 sq in and 10 sq in. Do not block them with a cover while the table is lit.
