Pectinia Coral (Pectinia)

This Pectinia colony is covered in thick, finger-like ridges that twist and crowd together across the whole surface. The ridges are a soft gray-teal with hints of purple at the tips, and bright neon-green lines trace the valleys between them. Small tan and peach patches show through in the low spots, which gives the piece a sculpted, landscape-like look. The photo shows the exact colony you will receive.Pectinia adds unusual texture to a reef and looks very different from the round, fleshy LPS corals around it. The neon-green outlines stand out against softer, more muted neighbors. It does best in moderate light and gentle to moderate flow, placed on the lower to middle rockwork with enough space around it. Feed it occasionally with small meaty foods and keep the water stable for steady growth.
