This pendant features a natural amethyst crystal wrapped in copper wire and brass. The crystal measures approximately 1.5x 1.5 in length. The pendant is one of a kind due to the natural variation in the crystal. Amethyst is a purple variety of quartz. Its color is caused primarily by trace amounts of iron and natural irradiation during its formation. It forms in cavities within volcanic rocks and is commonly found as clusters or individual crystals.
