The TraumaSim Suture Line Infected Silicone Wound is a high-fidelity, self-adhesive training aid designed to replicate a medically accurate infected surgical wound presentation for clinical and healthcare simulation. Manufactured from durable, life-like silicone, the wound supports realistic training in post-operative wound observation, infection recognition, documentation, escalation, dressing selection and care planning. The infected suture line presentation allows learners to assess a surgical wound showing visual indicators of infection in a safe, repeatable environment. Tapered edges help the wound blend smoothly onto a manikin or live role player, supporting realistic nursing, surgical wound care, aged care and patient assessment scenarios. The wound is suitable for nursing education, clinical simulation, surgical wound care training, aged care education, healthcare programs and pre-placement preparation. Learners can practise wound assessment, cleaning, dressing application, documentation, communication, escalation and patient-centred care.
