5 Inch Gauge Stirling Single 2-2-2 The GNR No. 1 class Stirling Single is a class of steam locomotive designed for express passenger work. Designed by Patrick Stirling, they are characterised by a single pair of large (8 ft 1 in) drivers which led to them being known as "eight-footers". This impressive locomotive is a unused/new and very well-made, it had a commercial boiler fitted and paintwork professionally completed in 2011. Since then its has been on display, "pride of place" in a private collection. Includes hand pump & axle pump, CE certified twice times boiler test paperwork, there is no wear & tear, it's mechanically perfect! A great example of this well-known and much loved model.
