Thursday Cottage Toffee Apple Curd

Okay... really. How could we resist this one? An award-winning toffee apple curd made by the same producers as our favourite lemon and ginger curds was just too good to pass up. It's like the love child of apple butter and a rich dark caramel, a Tart Tatin puree if you will. Made the same way as their other curds: fruit, sugar, free-range eggs and butter, stirred by hand in small batches. So many ways to enjoy this: on pancakes, crepes or toast, off a spoon, swirled into cake batter (or between cake layers), to amp up oatmeal, with ice cream... shall we keep going?
