The lozenge features a larger than usual surface area with no sharp edges to distribute pressure evenly on the tongue. Made of sweet iron this mouthpiece releases a sweet taste as it gets in contact with saliva that many horses prefer. This bit features a Hunter Style D ring cheekpiece which is a fixed cheekpiece that offers more stability. The extended bar on the cheekpiece adds support which makes it a good choice for horses that might struggle through turns. Mouthpiece thickness: 16mm Please note that sweet iron bits oxidise naturally and the blue parts will over time develop a thin layer of rust and turn brown/grey. This is by design as the "rust" is what creates the taste so many horses love.
