D-1 Diver
A diving watch for the everyday. Inspired by mid-century divers, the D-1 offers all the rugged performance of those worn by trained professionals. But its more minimal design and unique, one-piece dial and signature domed glass, makes it easy to wear anytime, anywhere. For this new edition of the D-1 there is an upgraded Swiss automatic movement, a new refined case shape for comfort and a 3D Aera logo and hour markers made from Swiss Super-LumiNova, which glow a bright blue in low light conditions. With 300m water resistance and a ceramic unidirectional bezel, the D-1 is the quintessential 21st century diving watch, designed to last a lifetime. The D-1 is your daily driver, and like the perfect pair of jeans, is comfortable just about anywhere. Like all of our watches, it’s made in Switzerland and is powered by an automatic Elabore grade Sellita movement, chosen for its reliability in all conditions. A tool watch through and through, its case is made from durable 904L stainless steel, which is known for its anti-corrosion qualities. It is a far more durable alloy than the regular 316L steel more commonly used in the industry, and while it’s more difficult to mill, the extra effort was worth it. In short, it can take a beating, and will look even better with a little wear and tear. Life has a habit of throwing the occasional curveball. The D-1 can take it. We retain our signature one-piece dished dial, which curves up around the edges, meeting the bottom of our domed sapphire crystal glass. It gives the case a satisfyingly curved, pebble-like silhouette. We spent more time perfecting the angle of the lugs, too. This ensures the D-1 hugs the wrist, combining with our integrated straps to ensure day-long comfort. Its brushed finish perfectly complements the unidirectional satin-finished ceramic bezel, which rotates with a satisfying ‘click’. If you’re counting, a full rotation takes precisely 120 clicks. Diving watches have long been appreciated for their functionality and rugged appeal. The D-1 is no different. It’s more than capable of being used as a tool for regular deep dives, but it’s just as at home under a shirt cuff on dry land. It comes with a 300m water resistance, which is further improved thanks to the new case back, secured with six visible screws for a utilitarian look. Available in an edition of 300, every purchase features our Scuba Black rubber strap as well as an additional strap, which can be chosen from a pre-selected range. These come with our quick release mechanism, so you can change the look of the D-1 on the fly, wherever the mood takes you.
