Angelica arguta (Sharptooth angelica)

Sharptooth angelica is a native perennial plant with purple stems and sharply serrated leaves, blooming from May to August. It grows up to 6 feet tall and prefers full to partial sun and moist, well-draining soil.

• Like many carrot species, this angelica has a main tap root that digs deep into the soil, breaking up heavy clays and bringing deep nutrients to the top.
