Rose Blossom, Morocco
Moroccan rose oil is often judged weak when smelled from the bottle neck. The impression misleads. The fragrance is light at the opening and unfolds fully only on a smelling strip or on the skin. 01 · Origin Rosa damascena has been grown for generations in the valleys on the southern side of the High Atlas, where the rose harvest marks the spring. This oil is steam distilled in Morocco from conventionally grown blossom. 02 · Chemistry Phenylethyl alcohol is prominent for a distilled rose, alongside citronellol. Heneicosane, a paraffin wax, forms part of the stearoptene and can cause the oil to thicken or set when cool. Alpha-terpineol contributes a soft, lilac-like note. 03 · In Practice Softer, lighter and more delicate than Bulgarian rose, with less of its honey and beeswax depth, and close in feel to white rose. If the oil has set, gentle warmth returns it to liquid. Natural perfumery, facial oils, bath preparations and massage blends. Rose Blossom, White (No. 2565) and Rose Blossom, Absolute (No. 2540) make instructive companions on the strip. Blends with sandalwood, neroli, geranium, palmarosa, frankincense and bergamot. General information: For external use only. Dilute before applying to skin. Keep away from heat and sunlight. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes.
