Danche

Danche Site, located in Yirgacheffe, is run by Habtamu Fikadu Aga. His work in coffee traces back to his grandfather Aga Dinsa, who harvested coffee on his farm in Kiru Kebele in 1945. In 2015, Habtamu Fikadu founded Kuri Mountain Coffee which handles Ethiopian coffee exports and manages several washing stations throughout the country, including Goro Site in Uraga, Guji, another stellar coffee we’ve carried this year. This year’s harvest from Danche Site is exceptional. We taste a delicate burst of bright acidity and aromatic florals, reminiscent of hibiscus tea, jasmine, and bergamot. A crisp white-peach structure holds the cup from start to finish. Danche was one of our favorite coffees last year, and we’re excited to bring it back on the menu.
