Soft Foam Single Bed – 90 × 200 cm – Corduroy

Ready for a full-length bed, but love the comfort of a soft, cosy sleeping space? The MONIO Corduroy Soft Foam European Single Bed brings together a generous 90 × 200 cm sleeping area, fully soft foam construction and beautifully textured Corduroy upholstery. Designed for growing children who need more room than a junior or youth bed, this low, Montessori-inspired floor bed offers a comfortable alternative to traditional wooden and metal frames. Its soft foam sides and headboard create an inviting place to sleep and relax, while the stain-resistant Corduroy fabric and removable, machine-washable covers make everyday care easier. Why choose the MONIO Corduroy European Single Bed? Full-length sleeping space – a European single bed with room for older children and teenagers to grow. Fully soft foam construction – soft sides and headboard, without a rigid wooden or metal frame. Low Montessori-inspired design – easy to get in and out of without climbing onto a high bed. Soft Corduroy upholstery – cosy ribbed texture with a practical stain-resistant finish. Removable, machine-washable covers – easier to care for when everyday accidents happen. Breathable 3D spacer mesh – encourages airflow beneath the mattress. Anti-slip underside – helps reduce unwanted movement of the foam components. Four Corduroy colours – choose a shade that suits your child's bedroom. Optional matching mattress – choose Bamboo or TENCEL™, or order the bed on its own. A full-length bed for growing children At some point, a smaller bed simply stops offering enough room. Your child might be getting taller, stretching out more at night or starting to feel that their junior bed belongs to an earlier stage of childhood. The MONIO European Single offers a 90 × 200 cm sleeping area, providing plenty of length for growing children and teenagers without giving up the familiar comfort of a soft foam floor bed. As a general size guide, this bed may suit older children from around 10 years onwards, including teenagers. However, every child grows differently, so height, sleeping habits and individual needs are more useful considerations than age alone. Although the sleeping dimensions are also comparable to an adult European single mattress, suitability for adult use depends on the manufacturer's load and usage recommendations. European single vs standard UK single – what's the difference? A European single mattress measures 90 × 200 cm, compared with 90 × 190 cm for a standard UK single. Both offer the same sleeping width, but the European single provides an extra 10 cm of length. That additional room can be particularly useful for taller children and teenagers. Important: This bed requires a correctly fitting 90 × 200 cm mattress. A standard UK single mattress is too short. Soft foam sides instead of a hard bed frame Unlike traditional wooden or metal beds, MONIO's surrounding structure is made entirely from flexible polyurethane foam. That includes the headboard and raised sides. Rather than simply covering a hard frame with padding, the structure itself is soft, with no rigid frame corners or sharp edges around the sleeping area. The softly raised sides surround the mattress, creating a cosy, sheltered feeling that's lovely for reading, relaxing or settling down at bedtime. These sides may help reduce accidental rolling from the sleeping surface, but they are not a guarantee against falls or a substitute for following the manufacturer's safety guidance. Low, accessible and Montessori-inspired Montessori-inspired floor beds are often associated with younger children, but their accessible design can be just as appealing as children grow older. The MONIO European Single sits low to the floor, making it easy to get in and out without climbing onto a high frame. Its simple shape and soft construction also give it a relaxed, welcoming appearance. It's a lovely alternative for older children and teenagers who prefer a cosy sleeping space rather than a traditional raised bed. Soft Corduroy that's practical for everyday life Corduroy brings a lovely warmth and texture to bedroom furniture. Its gently raised ribs feel soft to the touch, while the understated finish works beautifully with everything from playful children's bedrooms to more grown-up interiors. MONIO uses 83% polyester and 17% nylon Corduroy upholstery, available in four colours. The fabric has a stain-resistant finish to help make everyday care easier. And when a more thorough clean is needed, the covers can be removed and machine washed according to the manufacturer's care instructions. It's a practical combination for a bed that may also become a favourite place for reading, listening to music or relaxing during the day. Thoughtful ventilation beneath the mattress With a floor-level bed, airflow beneath the mattress is particularly important. MONIO includes a breathable 3D spacer mesh beneath the sleeping area. Its three-dimensional structure helps encourage air circulation and supports moisture dispersal between the mattress and floor. The underside of the foam components also features anti-slip fabric, helping to reduce unwanted movement during normal use. Place the bed on a suitable, dry surface and regularly check and air the mattress and the area underneath, following the manufacturer's recommendations. Choose your bed with or without a mattress The MONIO Corduroy European Single Bed is available in three options: Bed Only: Includes the complete soft foam bed structure, without a mattress. Bed + Bamboo Mattress: Includes the bed and a matching 90 × 200 cm Bamboo mattress. Bed + TENCEL™ Mattress: Includes the bed and a matching 90 × 200 cm TENCEL™ mattress. Both matching mattress options measure 90 × 200 × 14 cm. If you're using your own mattress, please check that it fits the sleeping area correctly. MONIO recommends a maximum mattress thickness of 14 cm to maintain the intended recessed position within the surrounding foam sides. Please select your preferred Corduroy colour and mattress option before adding the bed to your basket.
