Video: Technique Series #08: Scraping Wood

This video provides you with bench side instruction on tuning, sharpening, and using scraping tools. When working with highly figured wood that tends to tear-out, scraping may be your only option to process and prepare the surface. Many people own scraping tools but don't know how to use them and the "how to" information is scarce. This video will teach you how to sharpen and use card scrapers, cabinet scrapers, and scraper planes. In a step-by-step fashion, Rob carefully walks you through how to properly scrape wood, explaining and demonstrating along the way.
