This cosmetic-grade mica gives projects a rich golden colour with light-reflecting shimmer. In clear melt & pour soap, the shimmer really shines; in opaque soap bases and cold process soap, expect a softer, more muted gold. How to Use Cold Process Soap: Start with 1–2 tsp per lb of oils. Pre-disperse in a small amount of liquid oil before adding to your soap batter for smooth, even colour. Melt & Pour Soap: Start with ¼–½ tsp per lb of soap base. Clear bases will showcase the shimmer more strongly than opaque bases. Bath Bombs: Use sparingly for colour and shimmer. Polysorbate 80 can help disperse mica in the bath water and reduce pigment sticking to the tub.
