This bottle is a private single barrel hand-selected by Cypress Craft and bottled at barrel strength, 126.4 proof (63.2% ABV). Because every bottle comes from one individually chosen barrel, this release is limited and unique to Cypress Craft. As a wheated bourbon, wheat replaces rye as the secondary grain in the mash bill, which typically produces a softer, rounder and sweeter character than traditional high-rye bourbons. Expect rich notes of caramel, vanilla and baked bread layered with toasted oak and warm baking spice, with a full-bodied, lingering finish. Best sipped neat or with a few drops of water or a large ice cube to open up the flavors at barrel proof. It also makes a bold base for an Old Fashioned or Manhattan.
