The thick, wool-based fabric has traditionally been used in practical winter garments such as jackets and vests to block the wind while retaining warmth. Existing vintage pieces possess a unique, striking presence, with surfaces worn thin by friction and edges and pockets that have softened into a rounded, well-worn shape. At BOW WOW, we’ve reimagined black beach cloth in the form of a work jacket, highlighting the fabric’s inherent heft and the three-dimensional patina that develops with wear.
