PINTO X MARCEL WANDERS - One Minute Delft Black Vase No. 3

Vase On this vase, Marcel Wanders’ gesture becomes a rhythm. Short dabs of black, laid down like a dotted line, follow the ribs of the body from neck to foot, like vertical rain across the white earthenware. The pale neck carries a single black mark on its lip. Created at Fahad Hariri’s invitation, the One Minute Delft Black collection brings together twelve vases, each painted in one minute with no sketch and no retouching. Shaped and finished in Delft by Royal Delft, this unique piece keeps the exact memory of the hand that painted it beneath its deep glaze.
