Using a Calm Voice
Product description If your child yells at parents, teachers or friends when they're angry or overwhelmed, this simple story helps them understand how yelling affects others and gives them calmer things to do instead. Written in positive first person language, it teaches children to: Understand that angry feelings are okay, but yelling hurts or scares people Pause and take a slow breath Use simple calming strategies like squeezing their hands Say "I'm upset" or "I need a break" Try again with a calm voice and say sorry when they're ready Ideal for autistic children, school age kids and tweens who need help with anger and emotional regulation. Tip: Read it together when your child is calm, and practise the key phrases often. Pair it with Taking a Safe Break for a complete big feelings toolkit.
