Saracione SCA Fly Reel 2 5/8"

A rare Saracione SCA (Saracione Classic American) fly reel, 2 5/8" diameter and set up for RHW (though easily reversible). The reel weighs 5.3 ounces on my scale. Joe offered these bench-made reels in the mid 1980's and they are pretty tough to come by. Near mint condition, with a few tiny marks on the frame in a couple of spots but no evidence of meaningful use that I could find. Gorgeous S-handle design with black anodized aluminum sideplates, and a unique removable spool system. Gold anodized frame. Fixed click check. The reel comes in a purple velvet drawstring pouch. A great little option for light trout fishing by one of the best.
