Antique Vallerysthal French Opaline Milk Glass Trinket Box

An antique Vallerysthal French opaline glass covered box in opaque white milk glass. The rectangular box is molded with a finely textured basketweave pattern, while the fitted lid is topped with a dimensional reclining dog figure that serves as the decorative finial. The crisp molded texture and monochromatic white glass give the piece a sculptural quality, making it equally appealing as a small storage box or decorative object. There are numerous chips on the base of the box. It measures 4"W x 2¾"D x 4½" Shipping rates apply to street addresses within the contiguous United States only.
