Silence

Two eyes look out from layered wing panels in glossy steel, one with a blue iris framed by long black lashes on yellow and pink, the other with a green and blue iris set in turquoise and navy. Around them, flat blocks of blue, pink, yellow, orange, green and black fall across the wings like cut paper. Pineda Mariscal describes the piece as fullness without noise, space to hear the soul. A polished black body and fine antennae sit at the centre, and the overlapping wings cast soft shadows on the wall behind them. At 60 × 69 cm it suits a hallway, a reading corner or a bedroom wall.
