Herman Knives Dragonfly Nebula Ripple DLC – M398
Deeply engraved Nebula Ripple machining gives this Herman Knives Dragonfly a striking combination of texture and movement. Flowing contours travel across the Grade 5 titanium handle, creating layered ridges and recessed channels beneath the black Balinit Triton Star DLC finish. The dark surfaces emphasize the depth of the engraving, while the contrasting pocket clip, backspacer, and hardware provide a clean visual break from the intricate pattern. The 3.82-inch Böhler M398 blade features a large-radius hollow grind, stonewashed finish, and distinctive hammered flats that introduce additional texture above the primary grind. Heat treated to 62–63 HRC, the blade combines a broad cutting profile with a pronounced belly, while the flipper tab provides convenient one-handed opening. Herman’s proprietary ceramic caged bearing system supports smooth, controlled movement. The sweeping Grade 5 titanium handle incorporates Herman’s titanium inset liner lock, featuring a tungsten carbide insert and ceramic detent ball. Polished stainless steel pivot components complement the contrasting titanium accents, while the proprietary T20 pivot system allows adjustment using the dedicated titanium tool supplied with the knife. At 8.86 inches overall and weighing 5.47 ounces, the Dragonfly offers full-size proportions and substantial titanium construction. The deeply engraved Nebula Ripple pattern gives this build its defining character, while the hammered blade flats and stonewashed M398 blade provide a different expression of texture against the dark DLC handle. Individually numbered #0550 and produced September 21, 2026, this Dragonfly was made in Poland by Bartosz Herman and includes its Herman presentation box, microfiber cloth, Pruciak Protector Glide oil, and dedicated titanium pivot tool.
