The Informed Scholar With a Pastoral Heart: Essays in Honor of Samuel E. Waldron

Product details The Informed Scholar with a Pastoral Heart: Essays in Honor of Samuel E. Waldron Covenant Baptist Theological Seminary has long sought to unite informed scholarship with a pastoral heart. Few men embody that aspiration more clearly than Samuel E. Waldron. For nearly five decades, he has served Christ’s church as a pastor, preacher, teacher, author, theologian and seminary president. His labours have shaped Reformed Baptist churches, ministers and institutions throughout the world. Published in honor of his seventy-fifth birthday, this volume brings together sixteen essays from Waldron’s family, friends, colleagues and former students. Together, they address subjects central to his own ministry, including pastoral theology, biblical exegesis, the 1689 Baptist Confession, the Sabbath, the regulative principle of worship, Christology, justification and eschatology. Essays from Joel Beeke, James Renihan, Richard Barcellos and Others
