Ka Ia I Ka Ale Longsleeve Shirt- Putty/Roasted Pecan/Sienna

This Longsleeve Shirt features our Aiwa Ka Mano print on Charcoal material with Avocado and Limestone ink. Ka Ia I Ka Ale From the great migration chants, these ʻoha kāpala illustrate oceanic movement. Stingrays migrate in massive numbers, inspiring Nālani Kanakaʻole to draw. Each bamboo stamp further expresses the many patterns in which the stingrays travel and migrate. Drawn out by Nālani Kanakaʻole, the ʻohe kāpala was hand-cut by Kehau Kaula. Kaula then printed a kīhei with the stamps, creating the fabric layout. This is one of the designs created for Eia Mai Eiwa, the exhibit at Bishop Museum, celebrating hula and its teachings for the Zane-Kanakaʻole ʻohana. Longsleeve Buttondown Shirt Inspired by the ivy-league shirts of the early 1900s, the fabric designs are pure Hawaiʻi, and the look is pleasingly fresh. The Longsleeve Buttondown is an open front, tapered shirt with a full length placket. Coconut buttons are featured on the stand-up, button-down collar, on the front placket and at the cuffs.
