Vintage Heart Shaped Intaglio Carnelian Pendant Necklace

Finding a vintage gold filled heart shaped pendant is always amazing, and especially when there are other unique characteristics like the carved intaglio Trojan solider on both sides of this piece. Where are all my Odyssey fans out there?!? It's also on a vintage chain! HISTORY: The pendant itself has no maker's marks, but the chain is marked with "MB" in a circle. I've been unable to locate the history of the manufacturer, but this is estimated 1940's when sweetheart jewelry of this type was common. MATERIALS: The pendant and chain are gold filled (with the chain marked 1/20 12k GF). The intaglios are carnelian stone. SIZE: The heart is a nice size, not too small or big. It hangs 1 1/8" from the chain and measures 7/8" at its widest. The chain measures 19" in length. CONDITION: The pendant is beautiful but with age related wear, mainly around the seam where some of the gold fill has worn away. It has a few minor dents as well. The intaglios are in good shape with only minor flea bites, not seen by the naked eye. The chain is in excellent shape except for a minor wear to the gold fill on the clasp. This would make such a cool gift for the history or Greek mythology lover in your life!
