Whether or not the legend is true, the shape has carried a sense of occasion ever since, and milgrain is the natural finish for it.Framing the tipsThe fine gold beads along each edge of the band draw a delicate outline that leads the eye toward the stone's two points. Next to the milgrain, the twenty-eight pavé diamonds (0.24 carats in total) read brighter, and the marquise reads longer and more graceful.Built for everyday wearBoth tips sit in V-prongs, the pavé is set down into the 2mm dome, and the milgrain runs along the edges rather than the top.
