The Polymer

The Polymer line is Tony Dixon's most affordable whistle construction, with both the body and head made from ABS. All else equal, a polymer body tends toward a slightly warmer tone than a metal one, a difference worth exploring in its own right rather than a compromise.It includes three models: a plain tuneable soprano D, a soprano D built around a brass tuning slide, and a tapered-bore low D. The brass fitting on the soprano D gives a slimmer, straighter profile at the joint than the slight bulge on the plain polymer joint.
