Reimagined Plastics - Three Hearts
Three hearts in green, blue, and yellow, each outlined in hand-stitched embroidery floss, float across a peach field with a scatter of circles. Red stripes and a green band frame the scene, and nobody’s counting the extra dots. It’s a cheerful piece with a lot going on and no apologies. Made by Karen Randolph from ironed recycled plastic and other salvaged materials, stitched down on a piece of duck cloth originally used for an arbor cover, and then mounted on rough-hewn planks that look as old as they are. One of a kind, signed lower right. Finished size: 7" x 8".
