Rather than buying anonymously, they work directly with the smallholder farmers who deliver cherries to their stations. Archers has bought from Hamasho since 2020 and selects its own lots each year. 74158 is a variety developed by the Jimma Agricultural Research Center and is known in Sidama for floral, tropical and stone-fruit cups. The Process This lot is Natural processed: 🍒 Ripe cherry selection — Hand-picked cherries are sorted on delivery ☀️ Whole-cherry drying — Dried slowly on raised African beds with the fruit intact 🔧 Hulling — The dried fruit is removed once the beans reach the right moisture The Cup Juicy peach and blueberry lead, followed by bright mandarin and a fragrant lychee note. White florals carry through to a long, sweet finish. High sweetness, moderate acidity and a gentle fermentation character — fruity without being funky.
