Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Vigna "La Casaccia" 2021 - Canalicchio di Sopra

Vigna "La Casaccia" comes from the eponymous vineyard in the "Canalicchio" cru, planted in 1990 on predominantly clay soils rich in calcium and mineral elements. It is the Brunello from Canalicchio di Sopra that most naturally combines opulence with freshness, offering a generous structure underpinned by silky tannins and a distinctive balsamic character. In 2021, the naturally lower yields caused by the spring frost, together with a cool, dry September marked by pronounced day–night temperature swings, encouraged particularly balanced phenolic ripening. The result is a deep, energetic and refined Brunello, combining dark fruit, freshness and minerality with considerable ageing potential.
