Snowblind
Inspired from old Home and Garden magazines from the 1950s, Dayton began cutting out and assembling images using collage and decoupage techniques. In Snowblind, Dayton uses laser copying methods to manipulate images, layering matte and glossy surfaces, combining a dense profusion of flowers, erupting into a vibrant display of spring. As Dayton proclaims, "I never got past Warhol. These are my soup cans."
